Foods Are Analysed in Laboratories to Protect Public Health

The Ministry shared a note underlining that food control laboratories are one of the core elements of the food safety system. Samples collected from businesses by control officers are transported to the laboratories under the required precautions. Specialist staff and modern instruments are used to analyse whether products comply with legislation. Where non-compliance is found, the Ministry states that the necessary legal action is taken without delay.
