June 2025 Food Inspection Data: 104,733 Official Controls

Türkiye's Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry reported 104,733 domestic official controls at food businesses in June 2025. The inspections resulted in 1,989 administrative sanctions, criminal complaints against 28 food business operators and administrative fines totalling 154,672,955 TRY. Catering establishments accounted for 44.6 percent of the checks, retail food outlets for 39.9 percent and production sites for 15.5 percent. Monthly inspections rose 15.6 percent year on year, while the January-June total of 625,758 controls was 3.6 percent above the same period of 2024.
