July 2025 Domestic Inspection Figures for Food Businesses Released

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry reported a total of 105,810 domestic official controls at food businesses during July 2025. The inspections resulted in 2,519 administrative sanctions, and criminal complaints were filed with the public prosecutor against 29 food business operators. Controls covered 16,278 production sites, 42,015 retail outlets and 47,517 mass catering premises, with administrative fines for the month totalling 207,373,359 Turkish lira. According to the Ministry, the number of inspections in the January to July 2025 period rose by 0.6 percent compared with the same period of the previous year.
