Did you know?

An orange fruit known in Nigeria as agbalumo or udara, whose seeds are arranged in a star when it is cut open. The flesh starts very sour and sweetens as it is chewed, leaving a gum-like texture. Between December and March it is the main fruit of street vendors.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
