Did you know?

A long, bright orange-yellow chilli of moderate heat, regarded as the defining ingredient of Peruvian cooking. It is usually reduced to a paste that lends colour and a fruity aroma to sauces and stews. Its name means yellow chilli, although the ripe pod is orange.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
