Did you know?

A seasoning of Mexican cooking, toasted or added whole to the pot, with an aroma close to anise; it flavours barbacoa, beans and tamales. ⚠️ Only the leaves of Mexican-race avocados, thin and anise-scented, are used in the kitchen; leaves of the Guatemalan race contain persin and are harmful, particularly to animals.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
