Did you know?

A variety of citron split into finger-like segments. It is almost entirely rind and pith, with no juice or pulp, so it is candied, made into preserves or grated for zest, and also kept in rooms and cupboards for its scent.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
