Did you know?
A white, round nut very high in oil, crushed into spice pastes as a thickener in Indonesian and Malaysian cooking under the name kemiri. ⚠️ It is toxic raw and must always be roasted or cooked. Its name comes from the former use of its oil as candle and lamp fuel.
Consumption tip
Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
