Did you know?

From the same family as tomato and aubergine, it is an egg-sized fruit ranging from yellow to red. Its taste is described as between tomato and lemon, so it goes into juices as readily as into sauces and stews. It is a common garden plant across the Amazon.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
