Did you know?

Sweet peppers like the pointed pepper contain almost no capsaicin, the compound that makes chili peppers hot, so they taste sweet rather than spicy. A green pepper is simply an unripe pepper; left on the plant it turns red or yellow.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
