Did you know?

A mint-family shrub of rocky Mediterranean slopes; its leaf carries a sharp, slightly bitter flavour between thyme and mint, so it is used sparingly. It is associated with the hyssop of scripture, though which plant that name referred to remains debated.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
