Did you know?

The root of a legume that is far sweeter than sugar, simmered in Anatolia into a cold drink. ⚠️ The glycyrrhizin it contains can raise blood pressure and lower potassium when taken often and in quantity, so those on blood-pressure medication should be careful. Figures are per 100 g.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
