Did you know?

It grows in clusters as small fruits with a thin green rind that is cracked open with the teeth. Inside, an orange, gelatinous, fibrous pulp clings to one large seed, and its taste swings between sweet and tart. It is the classic summer street-vendor fruit of the Caribbean.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
