Did you know?

Purple-black berries no bigger than a pea, whose deep colour comes from a high anthocyanin content. A traditional food of the Mapuche people, it is eaten fresh and made into drinks. In recent years it has also been sold dried and powdered.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
