Did you know?

A plum-sized fruit with yellow skin, sour juicy flesh and a stone holding an oil-rich kernel. In southern Africa it is traditionally fermented into a drink and the kernel is pressed for oil. The tree is culturally protected across the region.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
