Did you know?

The pea-sized green-red berries of a low, spreading shrub, tasting like spiced apple skin. They were an important fruit for the Aboriginal peoples of South Australia and are today one of the native foods used in jams and desserts. Dried, they resemble currants.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
