Did you know?

A small green pepper associated with the town of Padrón in Galicia, Spain, fried in olive oil and served with coarse salt. Most are mild but a few turn out hot, and that uncertainty has become a local saying. Picked young, the chance of heat is lower.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
