Did you know?

A relative of the Brazil nut whose seeds sit inside a woody capsule with a lid. When ripe the lid falls away on its own and the nuts drop to the ground, so they can be gathered without climbing. Its flavour is considered finer than that of the Brazil nut.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
