Did you know?

The largest fruit native to North America, its flavour is usually described as between banana and mango. Its skin is so thin and fragile that it almost never reaches supermarket chains and is mostly found at local markets. Its seeds are not eaten.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
