Did you know?

An orange-capped mushroom of pine woods that bleeds an orange milk when cut and slowly turns green. Known in Turkey as kanlıca, it is also prized in Catalan and Russian cooking, grilled or preserved in brine. Its colouring makes it one of the easier species to identify.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
