Did you know?

A mushroom that grows on beech wood in dense clusters of slender stems and small caps. Raw it is bitter, but cooking removes the bitterness and brings out a nutty flavour, so it is always cooked. It is among the most widely cultivated mushrooms in Japan.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
