Did you know?

The sour cherry is a natural hybrid that arose in the wild from the ground cherry (Prunus fruticosa) and the sweet cherry (Prunus avium); it is also a natural source of melatonin, which is why its effect on sleep is studied.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
