Did you know?

One of the first mushrooms of spring; in Europe it is named for appearing around St George's Day, and in Anatolia it is simply called the April mushroom. It has a creamy white cap and a mealy smell of fresh dough. ⚠️ It can be confused with certain deadly fibrecap (Inocybe) species that fruit at the same time, so certain identification is essential.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
