Did you know?

A small-seeded bean adapted to desert conditions, cropping on very little water and tolerating extreme heat. It has been cultivated by the Tohono O'odham and Pima peoples for thousands of years. The seed is white or brown, and its flavour is denser and sweeter than that of other beans.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
