Did you know?

The roasted seed of a tree in the yew family, cultivated in Zhejiang as xiangfei for more than a thousand years. Roasting splits the shell, and the kernel tastes between hazelnut and pine nut. The tree takes many years after planting before it bears.

Consumption tip

Even natural produce may carry pesticide residues. Wash fruits and vegetables under plenty of running water and discard the outer leaves of leafy greens. A short soak in vinegar water can also help reduce residues. Where possible, prefer certified organic or good-agricultural-practice products.
