According to the Ministry, loose milk carries a risk of microbial contamination and antibiotic residue because its source and its milking and storage conditions are not regularly inspected, and boiling it at home does not remove these risks completely. Packaged milk is considered more reliable because it undergoes analyses and heat treatments such as pasteurisation or UHT. The Ministry stresses that safety comes not from a product being natural but from the control and processing steps applied to it.
