Can wild mushrooms suspected of being poisonous be eaten if they are cooked?

Answer
No. According to the Ministry, the great majority of toxic compounds in mushrooms are heat-resistant; cooking, boiling or drying does not remove a mushroom's toxicity. For this reason mushrooms gathered in the wild must never be eaten unless there is absolute certainty that they are edible.
